Throughout my life, I have experienced both deep independence and deep codependence.
I've lived completely on my own in Baltimore City. I've packed up my life and driven an RV across the country, only to break down in New Mexico—and have one of the most transformative experiences of my life.
I've moved hundreds of miles away from family, built new lives in unfamiliar places, started entrepreneurial businesses, and learned how to create something from nothing.
I've also experienced relationships where I lost pieces of myself.
I've found myself in codependent and abusive dynamics, had to find the courage to leave, and start over again.
When I eventually moved to Asheville, North Carolina, I knew only one person.
And even then, I found myself repeating old patterns and spent eight years in another codependent relationship.
Eventually, I had to choose myself again.
And this time, I went deeper.
Through years of healing, self-discovery and rebuilding my relationship with myself, I learned that independence isn't just being able to do everything alone.
True freedom is trusting yourself.
It's knowing your worth.
It's listening to your own voice.
It's having the courage to make choices that are right for YOU, even when they're different from what others expect.
It's knowing that if life changes, you can find your way.
Since reclaiming that freedom, I've traveled solo through Europe, India and Japan. I've continued building my life and business on my own terms.
Today, I live independently, run my own business, and dedicate my work to helping women reconnect with their bodies, their confidence, their courage and their power.
Because I've lived both sides.
I've known what it feels like to lose yourself.
And I've experienced what happens when you finally come back home to yourself.
Womanhood is not defined by
a single role.
Your Life is Your Creation!
And You are here to create your unique path.

As our unique totem for this retreat, the Quetzal invites us to honor liberation as our medicine. To rise into our own Freedom.

Held under the open Costa Rican sky, the fire becomes a witness to letting go, symbolizing purification and the beginning of new cycles. We will also enjoy an artisitc fire performance.

Restore and soften in mineral-rich hot pools set into Verdesana’s cloud forest terrain. The warmth of the water, the mountain air, and the quiet stillness create an opportunity for deep letting go, reflection, and quiet bodily surrender after intentional retreat sessions.

Touch of Earth Healing Arts
Asheville, NC
After college, I lived with a friend for a year before taking the leap to move into my own apartment in Baltimore City while working and attending massage school.
Then I did something that changed my life: I bought an RV and drove across the country.
When my RV broke down in New Mexico, what could have been a disaster became one of the most transformative experiences of my life. It taught me something I would carry with me for years:
I am capable of figuring things out.
Over the next several years, I found the courage to move to different states, build my own business, take entrepreneurial risks, and continually put myself in situations where I had to grow.
With every new chapter, I built more confidence; not because I always knew what I was doing, but because I learned to trust that I could handle whatever came next.
When I eventually moved to Asheville, I had to start over again. But this time, I had something I didn't have before:
I trusted myself.
I knew how to build a life from the ground up. I knew how to take risks. I knew how to adapt. And I knew that even when life didn't go according to plan, I would find my way.
But there was another part of my journey I hadn't yet mastered.
I spent 8 years in a codependent relationship while simultaneously building a joint business and, in many ways, neglecting myself.
Learning how to be on my own again required a different kind of courage.
I had to grieve. I had to untangle old patterns. I had to rediscover my voice, my desires and my identity outside of someone else.
Slowly, I came back to myself.
And then I started choosing myself in bigger ways.
I solo traveled to many different countries around the world on my own. I took chances. I followed what felt true in my heart. I made decisions for myself.
Not because I had every answer, but because I trusted myself enough to take the next step.
I discovered that freedom isn't simply being independent.
Freedom is knowing you can trust yourself.
It's knowing you can walk away from what no longer fits.
It's knowing you can begin again.
It's knowing you can make your own choices, even when they're different from what other people expect of you.
And most importantly, it's knowing that you are capable of creating a life that actually feels like yours.
That's why I created this retreat.
Whether you've lost yourself somewhere along the way, you're standing at the beginning of a new chapter, or you simply haven't fully discovered your own strength yet.
I want you to experience what becomes possible when you trust yourself, choose yourself, and step fully into your power.
Because I know this much:
You are far more capable than you realize.
And there is a version of you on the other side of fear, expectation and self-doubt who is already waiting to be discovered.
Let's go meet her!
